The folks that own the Bear Lodge also own the Arrowhead Lodge and the Elk View Inn, all within a few miles of each other in the Northern Bighorns. They trails are usually excellent, but the best reason to go there is for the varied off trail riding. They have guides available from the Bear Lodge also if you are not familiar with the area. Good places to ride are usually to the South, West and North of the lodge but of course depends on the snow conditions and the type of terrain you are looking for.

Rent or borrow a sled then, you have no idea what you are missing. Leave the Apex parked for a day and check out the off trail.
