Default Wilderness Protection Studies Threatening Western WY and Eastern Idaho Riding Areas

Once again Western Wyoming and Idaho riding areas are being threatened to Wilderness Study Closure. This past winter I had the privilege of attending 3 AMPL meetings and working the booth at Jackson Hill Climb. Fellow JDer's AMPL is a great group to support. Please take the time to follow the link and submit Auto filled out form online. https://ampl.community/ Takes a minute of your time at best. Please, read below mission statement published by AMPL:

Advocates for Multi-Use of Public Lands (AMPL) is an organization made up of passionate recreationists. Our focus includes the organization of public support and the creation of a unified voice to maintain and protect broad access to our public lands for motorized as well as non-motorized recreational uses in a cooperative and cohabitant manner. We believe in the co-existence of recreation and conservation for all. AMPL's near term efforts are focused in the counties of Teton, Lincoln and Sublette in Wyoming and Teton and Bonneville counties in Idaho.

Thank you for your time and support,

    Brent

    Dunzo.

Everyone please sign. The snowmobile voice needs to be heard. We are far too quiet and losing ground. No pun intended.

    Done
Its nice to see a little push back once in a while. The Jackson Wy council members are getting an earful now for denying the request for snocross races to be held this winter as well.

“Snowmobiling is an important part of the fabric of our community,” said Jesse Combs, the president of the local nonprofit Advocates for Multi-use of Public Lands. “This is an event my entire family and several of our friends would really enjoy attending. To deny an event like this would send the wrong message to the young snowmobilers and our snowmobile community in general. Plus the event is yet another opportunity for Wyoming to grow our recreation-based economy and support some of our local businesses during the shoulder season.”

As you can see the AMPL is a very organized group. Thank you for your support JDer's.

In a surprising result, the Teton County WLPI Proposal failed, meaning snowmobilers and other mechanized groups maintain their access to public lands. Thank you all for the snowmobile community’s action and involvement.
