The snowfall and snow cover maps are stuck on 3/20/2017 on both my phone and computer, not sure if it is on my end or yours?

They are being updated now, I put a note on the main snowcover map page explaining how to bring up the freshest maps. By the way, this technique works for all pages on the site. I am looking into trying to get the pages to auto refresh every time.

Curious observation: The snow cover map for today — the one at the top of the Current Snowcover page, after clicking on the "(Click on the area you are interested in)" link — appears to show a maximum of 18" of snow in the Keweenaw, while the AL CAM page for this morning shows (I hope I don't seem overly picky with this, just a curiosity.):

    18" vs. 22" ?

Snowfall and depth is going to vary up here due to the nature of how lake effect falls. The depths can be quite different, especially at this time of the season when we are just getting started. All of the numbers on those maps are from the NWS and almost all of them are NWS coop observers. I am part of the coop network, but do not report to them regularly. Most just do core samples for them every month or so to get the water equivalent numbers for them.
