    Default Remote Cameras

We have a lake home in Northern MN and want to set up a camera (live feed via the computer or phone) to see snow levels. I was wondering what brands people are using? Likes and dislikes.
    Thanks

Depends on if you are going to leave outside or take videos from inside the house. I have good luck with the Reolink outside with solar charger. I really never use the solar part the battery last so many months, I keep a Netvue at the Wisconsin house but kept inside videos are fine through window. Depends if you want recording also I am more concerned on snow also.

    Works great just for video

I have a parcel of land that I'd like to put a couple of cameras on (woods, no house, no wifi). I want to check in once in awhile to see what wildlife is there and make sure no one is growing weed or burying bodies. What options are there? I assume you have to pay a fee to somehow shoot the pics/video to your phone/ipad?

You might want to check with this fella, this cam seems to be located out in the boonies, and is quite reliable,
    see (click →) https://johndee.com/ncn/nissula_ncn.htm.

It also does live streaming, see (click →) http://www.joshsteinland.com/cam-live.php.

I installed a Reolink indoor at our cabin last winter. So far so good. Gives us good clear video streams. Since it sits inside the window we had to turn off the lighting because of the glare. Reasonable price and reliable so far.

Have you thought about a trail camera that sends the photos via cell tower? If you have coverage at your land of ATT or Verizon, there will be a few options for you. My brother was dealing with trespassing and theft on his hunting land. Caught the perp red handed stealing stuff. You can set up the camera to send a photo when it catches movement, or set it to send say 2 photos a day at a given time. Cost of cameras run $150-225, and sending photos start at around $10/mo.

I have one of theses at home and cabin . you can also listen in if people are talking with in say 20 feet and you can yell at people or cats or what ever you want .
no issues yet and are good for a decent distance . gives alerts when somthing triggers movement etc .

Swann outdoor camera/spotlight purchased off amazon... Cost $150 for basic features, stores 2 days worth of stuff free, smart phone activated, no hub needed, visual clarity is Ok, zoom gets a bit fuzzy, spotlight is handy to turn on remotely and dimming with speaker, 120v powered...

Dislikes no programmable daily/weekly schedule for features only 3 manually select-able feature settings... Alarm siren is not loud (can turn off feature) and speaker sound quality could be better.
