Default Wishing all Moms a happy Motherís Day

Just wishing all the mothers a happy Motherís Day and please please take the time to make a call and wish your mother happy Motherís Day and that you love her very much, unfortunately I lost my mom about a week ago (not from covid19) and we just buried her yesterday, here is a poem that I wrote and said at her gravesite

When I was just a little boy
my mommy gave me a new toy
as I looked at it with glee
mom had a look that made her see
what a great boy that she loved dearly
and what happiness in her heart that showed freely

As we grow older with our family
mom showed true kindness with all sincerity

her patience and love is what she had
to share with us and teach us to be glad

It was hard work to raise five boys then
lots of patience was her message to send

    Our thoughts begin to show
    how much she left behind
    with her strength and legacy
we come into our hearts to find

    When days go bad
    and I look for inspiration
her love that she gave me
    taught me my true traditions

    As I look for guidance
    in these rough times
    all I have to do
is think of my momís rhymes

As I look in the mirror
    at myself as I see
    my momís majestic beauty
    winking back at me

    As we stand here
with her blood in our veins
her love and compassion runs strong
    every day again and again

    Our hearts are heavy
with our thoughts as we feel today
but if we think of the happiness that she left with us
she wonít feel so far away

    But one day
    we will meet once again
    and feel her inner love
We will feel to no end

    Sorry to hear that Snomoman.

Focus on the last paragraph over and over again.

Sorry for your loss, Snomoman. My 92-year old mother was recently diagnosed with cancer. It made me realize that I'm still not ready to lose her, or I guess I never will be.

I haven't been on line much lately, nonetheless, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I don't think anyone is really "prepared" for such a loss, no matter our age. Your writing of such a memorable life with your mom speaks volumes. Nicely done, stay strong. -Mezz
