    Default Today the 28th, clouds.

So Corie and I are hanging out today on Lake Roland, and I see a whole bunch of cumulus clouds to the south and west. But as they approach us on Lake Roland, they dissipate very quickly. Is this because of dry air in place from Twin Lakes north?

Not so much dry air as it was cooler air in the lower layer of the atmosphere. Winds were out of the ESE at the time and thus off the lake to the east. The air from out of the lake was cooler and thus did not rise as readily as the air that was not impacted by the big lake.

I guess in a nut shell, it was lake effect, but in an opposite manner than in the winter!
