Default A quote from Mark Twain

"Politicians, old buildings, and prostitutes become respectable with age."

The mention of "geezers" on another thread got me thinking of the demographics of those of us on John Dee. This Poll is anonymous but if you choose to post a comment, be more than welcome. Remember, today is the youngest you'll ever be. Make the most of it!

Aw geez, you stopped the poll at 65+?
    Too bad you missed 60-70, and 70-80 (or 65-70, 75-80, 80+)!

39, and pulled my hamstring last Friday for the very first time (playing softball), I hope that isnt an indicator of what my 40's will be like.

Tore my hammies so many times in my 40s I lost count. Your mind says go for it with traditional quick twitch speed but your body won’t do it like it used. There’s a reason professional athletes retire late 30s and early 40s as the legs just can’t do it anymore. I kept competing and muscle pulls leveled out in my 50s. I’m 73 and just completed in a skiing saucer competition. Only thing I won was the oldest competitor award but at least I tried. Lol

Agree. When I was in my 30's I had a lot of back trouble. I decided to take care of my abs and now at 59, I never felt better. No surgery.
