I want to email a link to a friend so it takes them right to the correct page within the discussion board. I use internet explorer I have tried going to "send link by email" and it just goes to Johndee.com when I use the view source it has a long string but will not direct you to the page.

Any help is appreciated

There may be other ways, but probably the easiest way:
1. With the desired thread/message in your browser, scroll up to the top of the window, and find the Internet address (URL) of the current page.
2. Copy that URL, and paste it in the message composition window of your email program. (You may include other/explanatory text, but it's probably best if the URL is on a line by itself.)
3. Complete the email with the recipient's email address, and a Subject line.
4. Send the email.

The URL of your original message, as it appeared in my browser was:

http:// (http://www.johndee.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?36774-emailing-page-link-on-discussion-board)www.johndee.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?36774-emailing-page-link-on-discussion-board (http://www.johndee.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?36774-emailing-page-link-on-discussion-board)

You can right click anywhere on the screen and select properties. It will then show you the direct link to the page.
