Do you still need help posting pictures? Please read.
There are 3 ways to post pictures on the site.
*For the purpose of this tutorial I will be using Photobucket for my picture hosting website. There are several different ones out so find one you like and use that.
Method # 1 - Attachment
This is the method to use if you want the image to appear as a thumbnail at the bottom of your post. When the the thumbnail is clicked it will open a larger window.
1. When you reply to a post you are offered a set of options. Under "Additional Options" click on "Manage Attachments" as shown in the picture below.
2. After you click on the "Manage Attachments" button a popup will appear asking for a file location of the image.
You have the option to either use an image stored on your computer or from a picture hosting website like Photobucket (more on this later).
If you want to use an image from your computer make sure it meets the requirements defined and click Browse. Scroll to your image and select it. After that click on the Upload button and you are done.
If you want to use a hosting site then use the URL of the picture location (more on this later).
Method # 2 - Embedded Image
This is the method you use if you want to embed the image in your post. Just like I am doing in this tutorial.
In order for this to work you must turn on the Enhanced Editing feature.
Go to Go to UserCP>Setting & Options>Edit Options>Miscellaneous Options
Select the Enhanced Editing option.
1. Within the post select the "Insert Image" button.
2. A popup will appear asking for a URL to the image you want to post. This is where you will need a Photobucket account www.photobucket.com
3. The URL you use is the one that says "Direct Link" in Photobucket. Copy the URL to the clipboard and paste. Click Ok and the image will appear in the post.
Method # 3 - [IMG]
The IMG tag will allow you to embed images in-line using BB code. So if you use Photobucket copy the IMG code of the image and just paste it into the post.
[img]URL of picture[/img]
Well thats about it. Give it a try!

Strange, you can add a picture as an "attachment"from your computer, but not an in-line image?!
I see absolutely no excuse, er... reason for that, except the old "That's the way it is!".
Darned inscrutable software, drives me nuts!
(Yeah, I realize that's a very short trip!)
Actually, you can do in-line imaging but it needs to be enabled. By default it is turned off. This is because spammers would create BB code and inject into vB boards. If they actually have to click>click>click>upload>etc then they are less like to post spam.
EDIT: I noticed today that the [IMG] tag is enabled. So, in-line picture posting is available.
With the embedded image option are the photos allowed to be left so huge that they throw off the thread to one side and you have to scroll the page to see the whole picture? That is distracting, but it does make the fat chick in the bikini disappear! It would be nice if they were automatically resized to a functional size

This can be achieved to by turning on the feature. Just give the site some time to settle in and I am sure the admins will correct the little quirky things that are happening. vB is the kitty cat's meow when it comes to boards. So many customizations available.
I liked posting and viewing other full sized pictures. And now I can only do thumbnail as most others on here. OK I need to set up an account on photobucket? first and go from there. Which part of this is easier than /image
I'm used to having the first picture you post be shown first, but you have to plan ahead here and upload the picture you want to be shown first last, kinda weird.
OVER HERE >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Good - 3 ways . # 1 One is photo bucket in your example.Beyond that, What are the other 2 ways ?
so you open MY PICTURES....the choose a pic you want to resize...WINDOWS PHOTO VIEWER will open...up above it says FILE with an arrow down and other choices with arrows down...choose OPEN and choose MICROSOFT OFFICE 2010....up top click on EDIT PICTURES....left side...last option under CHANGE PICTURE SIZE choose COMPRESS PICTURES....check off box WEB PAGES or DOCUMENTS and watch the size change and what Kb it shall be...left side top choose FILE.....choose SAVE AS....(now my pic had this address blued....0003ML0000125000E1_DXXX.jpg.....so I added this so I will still have original to work with....0003ML0000125000E1_DXXX1.jpg.....the 1 at end of XXX before extension...(or name it photo A before you begin also)....file type should be set on JPEG which is automatic I think but you can arrow down....hit SAVE button....now open MY PICTURES again and they should be both in there....WALLA.
