That was my mtx it did great out there could use some more top end power but otherwise great,we are going to back out there on the 3rd of March, cant wait to go back. That mtx carves thru the powder and climbs hills no problem.Youll have have a fine time with it.
Most of the stuck or stopped pix dont even show tracks- 5 minutes stopped and your trax are GONE! I believe you were livin the High Life while I was wrenching on my 1999 700 xcsp the whole weekend it snowed last week(BooHooo) Darn motor is acting up after 3 years of flawless power? I can rip 0-70 no problem, but she sputters as if she will puke a piston for 3-6 seconds, then takes off like a raped-ape again. Tried CDI, Fuel pump and filter, different weights in the clutch, examined carbs twice, reed valves, now it's on to the water pump and stator next weekend- the old 99 skidoosh 500 touring is still a good backup though- I wish I would have stopped and upgraded the sled last year before the problems began- tight budgets- wahwah.
Can't wait to get to the backcountry again! Hammer down, ride em like u stole em! Scooper
Bet you wish you had a ratchet come along for that sink hole!

Reason: add on
it spent alot of time stuck the second day. He didnt ride the third day with 5' of snow. The first day it did fine with only 2 1/2 feet of fresh, I think it only got stuck a time or two. The rider also had an injury to his right knee so in his defense the sled may have done a little better but he couldnt put alot of weight on his knee.alot of shifting he couldnt do cause of pain.
