    Default Unoffical JD bike run!!!!!krupps resort

    I have to say that the UP is some the best Roads I been on east of the mississippi river and Krupps resort is the best summer or winter!!!!!If any of you are looking to get away on the bikes Krupps is a great start point for day rides Richard and Sandy are the best Hosts and Deb and the gals from mart are awsome!!!!thanks for opening for us fri night!!!strudel rocks....

    We decided to check out the UP by bikes!!bunch of us JD peeps got together and went, some from MN,Wis,Ill.It was a great group and great weather (thank you mother Nature)!!!

    Well the MN group made the ride fri am and went thru the porkies on the way up and that is a very nice place in the summer both lookouts are a must see and the water falls by wakefield too!!!!on sat we met up with Keith,Andy and Ken and we headed into the Keweenaw and up too Copper Harbor!!!we made stops at m&m sports say hi to Chad then off to visitor bureau stop at the beach and light house in eagle river!!!!then onto copper harbor!!!!!!If you make it up there make sure you take the road to lac la belle and down to Gay it is an awsome road!!!ok enuff from me here is the pics!!!!!


    here is the new groomer barn in twin lakes this will make things a little easyier on them as the groomer will have a warm house to get all the maintenance done!!!Thanks Richard for the Tour......

    I don't think the trip could have been any better. We had perfect weather, a great group, and no issues (except for Pat's brakes freezing up because he's brake happy). I don't have a lot of pictures but will post them up this week. Pat pretty much summed it up as far as the riding is concerned. I always thought the road from Eagle River to Copper Harbor was the best and totally forgot how nice the east side to Gay was. I can't wait for winter now.

    Thanks guys for making this an awesome trip. One of the best bike trips I have ever been on. Second only to Sturgis. This is the first time I have ever spent any time in the Keweenaw in the summer and won't be the last. So many of us only visit in the winter. It is equally, if not more, beautiful in the summer. Krupps is a great jumping off point. I had a pasty for both breakfast and dinner on Saturday, lol. Can't ask for better hosts. Also would like to thank Chad from M&M for the boat tour of Portage Lake.
