Polaris Sno-Traveler, 1964
From the (click →) March 27, 2018, PastyCam (small 'w') "wayback machine"1 in the winter of '64, when the Polaris Sno-Traveler was the hottest trend on the trails (Picture is from March 27, 2005).

"The hottest trend on the trails", albeit sweet, there were no "trails" per say, just the trails that were blazed by the adventurers. To see how far the advancements have taken this sport is truly mind boggling. Sweet pic! -Mezz

Imagine that, "3 Up" in the front, an extra tall windshield, and a 4 Stroke in the back.
That must be that new 850 everyone is talking about!

First snowmobile ride I ever had was on an early 60's Sno-Traveler - think it was brand new at the time. Belonged to my friend's grandfather, he used it for trapping. As I recall, it was a smaller "sporty" version that was lighter but not necessarily faster.
